Haptics: Pocket Edition is designed with privacy and accessibility as core principles. The app can be used without creating an account and without providing personal information.
This privacy policy explains what data is (and is not) processed when you use the app.

Personal Data and App Usage
No account and no direct identification
The app does not require you to create an account or provide personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.
We do not attempt to identify you as an individual user.
On-Device Data
Your favourites, lists, and settings (such as language and high contrast mode) are stored only on your device.
- This data is not transmitted to any server
- The developer cannot access this data
- The data remains on your device until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app
Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored app data.
Analytics (Optional and Consent-Based)
What analytics are used
If you choose to allow analytics, the app uses Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) to collect usage data.
This data is associated with a random device identifier but is not linked to your name or contact information.
This may include:
- Page or screen views
- Button interactions
- Search terms entered in the app
What is not collected
- No names, email addresses, or contact information
- No login or account identifiers
- No content of favourites or lists
- No cross-app or cross-platform tracking
- No advertising identifiers
Consent and control
- Analytics are disabled by default
- Analytics are only enabled after you explicitly give consent
- You can change or withdraw your consent at any time in the app’s Settings
Purpose of analytics
Analytics are used solely to:
- Understand how the app is used
- Improve usability and accessibility
- Identify areas where the app can be improved
Analytics data is used only in aggregate and is not used to identify individual users.
Data Sharing and Third Parties
- The app does not use advertising services
- Data is not sold or shared for marketing purposes
- Analytics data is processed by Google as a data processor on behalf of the developer, in accordance with applicable data protection laws
Data Retention
- On-device data remains until you delete it or uninstall the app
- Analytics data is retained according to Firebase’s standard retention settings and is used only in aggregated form
Security
Because the app does not transmit user-created content off-device, most data remains protected by your device’s built-in security features.
Analytics data is transmitted using encrypted connections.
